As a global company with more than 9,000 employees across 40 countries, we benefit from a lot of cultural diversity within our workforce. And every year, we celebrate some of the key events and observances that are important to colleagues around the world, from Lunar New Year, to International Women’s Day, to Global Diversity Month.
At Keller Middle East, diversity is one of our greatest strengths. With nearly 20 nationalities working across the region, our workplace brings together people from different cultures, traditions, religions, and backgrounds, united by a common purpose and a shared commitment to teamwork.
Throughout the year, we take pride in celebrating the rich cultural heritage of our colleagues through a variety of events and gatherings. These occasions provide an opportunity to learn from one another, strengthen relationships, and recognise the unique contributions that each individual brings to our organisation.
Our annual celebrations include the National Days of many countries, with the national celebrations of Pakistan and India being particularly well attended each year. Colleagues from other nations also regularly take the opportunity to proudly showcase their heritage, traditions, scenic beauty, cuisine, and customs, giving everyone a chance to learn more about the diverse cultures represented across our business.
We regularly host International Food Days, often held monthly, where teams come together to enjoy homemade dishes and culinary specialities from around the world. These events are always a highlight of the calendar, showcasing the incredible diversity of cultures represented within our workforce.
Festive occasions are also eagerly anticipated throughout the year. Eid celebrations during both Ramadan and the Hajj season bring colleagues together to share in the spirit of gratitude, generosity, and community. We also celebrate traditional festivals such as Diwali and Onam, enjoying authentic cuisine, colourful customs, and the famous sweets that accompany these special occasions.
As the year draws to a close, the festive spirit continues with our annual Secret Santa tradition, where colleagues exchange gifts and good wishes, creating memorable moments and strengthening friendships across teams and offices.
Our sense of togetherness extends beyond cultural celebrations. It is equally rewarding to witness the team spirit displayed during sporting events. Keller Middle East has proudly participated in a number of corporate sporting competitions, achieving notable success including a Gold Medal in Swimming won by our General Manager, Tammo Koehler, and a Silver Medal in Badminton Doubles secured by Pruthvi Kinila and Shanid Charuparambil.
We also participate annually in the Keller Football Cup in Europe, where a multinational team trains together throughout the year in preparation for the event. These occasions reflect the same values that define our workplace: teamwork, inclusion, camaraderie, and mutual respect.
These celebrations and activities are about much more than food, festivities, and traditions.
